Rollem supplies JetStream to Bradford based Collisons

Rollem have supplied a bespoke version of the JetStream system to Bradford based printer Collisons who are using the system to slit and cut SRA3 sheets into personalised greetings cards.

Following the initial install in October the Rollem JetStream is already showing benefits in increased production with a highly accurate and quality finish.  The new quick change cassette system has enabled Collisons to make the change in the size of greeting cards being produced much faster and reduced their downtime.

The bespoke JetStream system supplied with suction feeder enables Collisons to produce approximately 3,000 sheets per hour, finishing in two directions to enable the slit and cut.

Stuart Murphy, Managing Director of Rollem said  “This system is our first system to feature the quick change cassette system on the heads of the machine. The new feature was developed in conjunction with a number of our customers who have highlighted the need to reduce the time taken in changing set up in sizes of different applications.”

General Manager of Collisons, Mike Lammas said “The machine has allowed the process to become fully automated with a Planet Press Work flow and Xerox digital presses. We also have the option to run the Rollem machine in-line with our Xerox iGen in the future.”
